Our Facilities

Our three beautifully light and spacious rooms have been carefully designed and equipped for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Each room includes their own toilet and nappy changing area, as well as ample storage for your child’s personal belongings. Please note that the age ranges for each room are guidelines only, as we understand that each child develops at their own pace and may benefit from a slightly longer or shorter period in each area.

Once your child has enrolled with us, they will be assigned a Key Person, who is responsible for observing, assessing, monitoring and planning for each child’s specific and unique needs. Their observations will be recorded in your child’s personal Learning Journal.

Cherry Buds

3 months - 2 years

Our youngest children will be cared for by fully qualified Early Years Practitioners, specially selected for their experience and knowledge in baby care as well as their warm and friendly nature, in our lovely bright baby room. The area will be a home from home for babies, helping parents rest assured their child is being cared for in a safe and secure environment, at a ratio of 1:3.

The room is carefully divided to provide your child with stimulating areas for play and exploration, as well as a calm, secure area for them to rest. We will encourage heuristic play with black and white areas, specialised sensory equipment and safe soft furnishings so that babies can move freely. All children will also have daily access to our fully enclosed garden.

All equipment, changing areas, toys and highchairs will be sterilised and disinfected throughout the day. Our Practitioners will wear soft indoor shoes as no outdoor shoes will be permitted in the Baby Room.

Parents will be asked to supply breastmilk or formula for their child in a named bottle, as well as nappies, cream, wet wipes and teething gel. Parents will be able to view their child’s diary via our learning journey app, including nap times, feeding and nappy changing information.

Working together with parents, we will slowly introduce a wide range of solid foods to your child, all freshly prepared on the premises and including the essential 5 a day fruit and vegetables.

We will introduce a gentle transitioning period into our Toddler Room once your child is ready to begin their next stage of learning.

Cherry Blossoms

2 years - 3 years

Our toddler room will provide a highly interactive, fun-filled environment for your child, whilst being cared for by our enthusiastic and proactive Practitioners at a ratio of 1:4.

Following Early Years Foundation Stage guidance to promote learning through play, your child will be provided with an exciting range of play areas to explore and experiment with, including water, sand and sensory troughs, arts and crafts stations and activities such as messy play and role-play, as well as a wide range of books and learning resources. Children will be encouraged to freely explore all areas, spend time in our enclosed garden and develop their social skills by participating in group activities such as circle time, yoga or music and movement.

The room is equipped with facilities for children at various stages of development, including quiet areas for them to rest, nappy changing stations, potties and toilets. Your child’s diary will be available for you to view via our learning journey app, including nap times, feeding and nappy changing information. We will promote healthy eating, exercise and health awareness. These values will be reflected in our menus, offering healthy and nutritious meals and snacks.

Cherry Trees

3 – 5 years

Our pre-school room is where your child will be gently prepared for their transition from Nursery to Primary school, by our supportive and experienced Practitioners at a ratio of 1:8.

Following the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance, dedicated areas will provide your child with opportunities to explore their creativity. These include “mark making” stations where they can practice their drawing and writing skills, construction areas to help develop your child gross and fine motor skills, and cosy reading areas so your child can quietly enjoy a book or their Key Person can show them their learning journals. They can also enjoy messy play, role-playing activity stations and spending time in our garden.

Children will be encouraged to both move freely between the areas and spend time together as a group, participating in circle time to help develop their social skills. We will promote healthy eating, exercise and health awareness, and will incorporate these values in our menus and by providing opportunities for your child to participate in group games and activities such as yoga or music and movement.

Garden

Our fully enclosed garden is directly accessible from each of our rooms, securely partitioned but allowing opportunities for all children to integrate and explore new areas. Equipped with a fun and exciting range of toys, frames and activities, your child can enjoy practicing their driving skills on our race car circuit, help our garden to flourish and grow by planting flowers and seeds, or make a mud pie in our mud kitchen.

Sensory Room

Our bespoke Sensory Room combines a range of stimuli specially designed to help develop and engage your child’s senses. Calming bubble tubes and fibre-optic sensory lighting, interactive projectors, colour changing mood cubes and a range of multi-sensory toys provide a low-stress, fun environment for children to work through their emotions and reactions.

Children react to their sensitivities in lots of different ways, and each child will have the opportunity to experience the Sensory Room in ways that can benefit them uniquely.
